The Annual General Meeting of the Village Hall will be held on Wednesday 5th June 2024 beginning at 7pm. Come and find out how we are improving the hall for the advantage and benefit of Swanton Abbott residents. All welcome. Nominations for parishioners to serve on the Management Committee should be submitted in writing no later than 31/5/2024 to Marie Day Toad Cottage Cross Road Swanton Abbott. Any nominations must be proposed and seconded.

Temporary Road Closure- Aylsham Rd
Owing to burst water main the use by vehicles of the Swanton Abbott Road from 230m east of its junction with Common Road for 50m eastwards in the PARISH OF SKEYTON will be temporarily prohibited from 25th April to 1st May 2024 for the duration of the works. For more information and a map click here

Next Parish Council Meeting
Next Parish Council Meeting is the Annual Parish Council Meeting on Tuesday May 21st at 7pm. This will be preceeded by the Annual Parish Meeting which begins at 6.30pm and will contain reports from other Village Institutions such at the Village Hall and Bowls Club. Agendas will be published here once they have been finalised. Please come along and support your village!

Mayton Wood Recycling Centre closure
Following the cabinet decision on the 2nd of October Mayton Wood Recycling Centre will be closed from the 1st of December with operations moving to the new Norwich North Recycling Centre. Norwich North Recycling Centre is a large modern site, with easy access to bins, without having to climb steps. The design also allows bins to be swapped without the need to close the recycling centre. Norwich North also has the largest reuse shop at any of our recycling centres. The next nearest recycling centre is at Worstead.
